Sand Dunes at Mesquite Flat
Death Valley National Park
Photograph Details:
My daughter and I were traveling through near Mesquite Flat in Death Valley National Park about a third of the way through a 7,000 mile photography adventure. The wind picked up and we could hear the distant rumbling of thunder in the distance. I stopped just south of the entrance to the visitor’s center and hiked a half mile out into the desert. I caught the sand blowing of some of the park’s largest dunes as the storm approached from the west.
